Mypinpad and MobiIoT partner to promote global SoftPOS adoption on professional devices

Mypinpad, a global leader in mobile payments, authentication, and verification solutions, is thrilled to announce a strategic partnership with MobiWire Group and its subsidiary MobiIoT, a leading company in the mobile Android devices industry.

The partnership allows MobiIoT’s state-of-the-art Android devices to accept card payments leveraging Mypinpad’s SDK-based SoftPOS payment solution. The combination of Mypinpad’s innovative SoftPOS technology and MobiIoT’s world-class, professional device is expected to accelerate the adoption of SoftPOS in many high-growth segments, such as card on delivery for logistic companies, or retail queue-busting for large retailers (fast-food restaurants, coffee shops and convenience stores). MobiIoT developed and commercialised the MobiGo family devices, which are Android devices capable of processing various on-the-go transactions, including contactless card payment acceptance facilitated by NFC antennas located in the front and the back of the devices.

Mypinpad’s certified payment solution utilises contactless technology and seamlessly integrates into non-payment, consumer-off-the-shelf and professional devices, enabling banks and retailers to enhance their offerings with secure, fast and convenient mobile payment capabilities without any additional hardware.

Barry Levett, CEO at Mypinpad said: “the partnership between MobiWire Group helps us drive the global adoption of SoftPOS as well as enabling exciting new payment acceptance use-cases and verticals. Our goal is to make mobile payment solutions more accessible to individuals and businesses, fostering incremental growth and closing the financial opportunity gap.”

David Charlot, CEO at MobiIoT said: “This partnership, beyond enabling a greater global adoption of SoftPOS, also demonstrates the value of combining a world-class SoftPOS solution with optimised Android device for managing merchants’ daily business while offering superior NFC capabilities for card reading.”
